• Rochester’s city council, school board, and county have struggled to maintain an effective relationship and that is hurting us. Good communication, collegiality, respect and communication is ALL it takes.
  • The city & school board relationship must be much more cohesive and symbiotic: our schools system and city staff must work together in order for RPS to be added to the comprehensive plan. Extend an olive branch, ask them to the table and direct staff to make sure that RPS is not left behind. We owe it to our children.
  • A revitalized relationship between the city and RPS, and their inclusion in the plans for growth, means that our city will have a cohesive plan to create new schools that will eliminate overcrowding
